Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using ResumeScanner.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By accessing or using ResumeScanner.Space (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
  • If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
  • We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

  • ResumeScanner is an AI-powered ATS resume analysis tool that compares your resume against a job description and provides a compatibility score with actionable feedback.
  • The Service is provided "as is" — we do not guarantee that following our recommendations will result in a job offer or interview.
  • Scores and suggestions are generated by AI models and should be used as guidance, not absolute truth.

3. Accounts & Access

  • A free account is required to use the scanner. Free accounts include a number of scans at no cost.
  • Creating an account requires a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Payments & Refunds

  • Paid plans (credit packs, subscriptions) are processed through Razorpay (INR) or Stripe (USD).
  • Credit packs are non-refundable once purchased. Unused credits do not expire.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using purchased credits, contact support for resolution.

5. Acceptable Use

  • You may not use the Service to submit malicious files, attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, or overload our systems.
  • You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or automated-access the Service beyond normal usage.
  • You may not use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
  • Rate limits are enforced. Circumventing rate limits may result in account suspension.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, its design, code, and content are owned by ResumeScanner and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • Your resume content remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any content you upload.
  • Feedback and suggestions generated by the Service are provided for your personal use only.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • ResumeScanner is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Privacy

  • Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
  • By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kolkata, India.
